"I have visited The Forge a couple of times now and I am so glad of being introduced to this place! I am a big fan of roast dinners and The Forge have this every day of the week! The decor is beautiful, very Turkish inspired with the coloured glass and wood. Their new space is very light and spacious and the original space is lovely and warming. Plenty of seating and areas. Self service at the bar which is fine. You pay for your food then head up to the carvery. Queues can often be long so pick your day and time well and allow a bit of a wait if you go at peak times. The food is ample, the meat is perfectly done. The beef is so soft and falls off the joint. It's usually beef, gammon and turkey. Would love to see some lamb or pork on occasional days! Ample veg!! So much you are spoilt for choice! The plates are quite small so it always looks like your plates are overloaded but to get a choice of all the veg this is easily done. Gravy, perfect consistency. It is so nice to be able to come here with my little dog! This will always be my number one choice for a carvery for my whole family. Toilets are very big but cold. Access.. there are steps from the back which go down but at the front there aren't as many steps, so anyone that has access issues would be better coming through the front. Carpark is often over full. There are 2 little huts out the back and up the stairs for outside sitting/smoking area."

"Have been a couple of times, the food is the best carvery I've had. Good selection and hot.... very popular and the prices make it realistic to go there more than just for special occasions. Nice interior, which they had blended the old and new decor. Thats the only thing thats they have missed."

"I very rarely give 5* stars to eateries but The Forge simply deserves it! I’ve eaten in a lot of places during my travels around the UK and I cannot think of another eatery where you get this kind of value for money. A full roast for a tenner!? In 2025! Yes. £10 gets you a choice of 3 meats (or a little of each) which is provided by a member of staff. You are then free to help yourself to as much veg, gravy and sauces as you like. You can even go back for seconds (no meat though). I specifically attended for the roast so have to admit that I’m not sure what their other food costs as I simply didn’t look at the menu! But I have to imagine other dishes are also reasonably priced. So if you’re in the area and looking for great value for your money, and great tasting food, I think you’re going to be hard pressed to find a better place to"

"What a beautiful place! The interior is amazing and the food is also excellent. We had a carvery and it was huge, very reasonable price and super tasty too. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I highly recommend a visit, the outside doesn't reflect what's inside, a true Turkish delight!"

"We were looking for a carvery and was recommended The Forge by a friend. First time here and they did not disappoint! The meats and veg were lovely, generous portions and cooked well. The puddings were astounding, I had the brownie and ice cream, it was unreal! Just look at that presentation, it made me say "wow" when the waitress brought it over. We had 2 drinks 2 meals and 2 puddings all for £37, I think that's an insanely good price! The atmosphere was really nice as well, we had a great night, thanks! 5/5* would 100% recommend!"

"Absolutely delicious roast will be going again. I advise you book , we got there with a bit of luck a table was ready and it packed out quickly . The beef melted in my mouth no chewy bits just WOW will also say the portions of meat is good my partner couldn't finish all of hers . The veg is nice I also had a sausage and u can tell there either local butchered or top quality. The carrot and swede was nice as well . I wish I had taken a picture of it. But im sure you will see many pics taken from other customers on there Google page ....only downfall is parking as its stoney and not level ..."
